Bienvenidos a Cordon Distributors LLC
Until recently, those who enjoyed Bacanora were considered outlaws. During it’s tumultuous past, hundreds were imprisoned and many brave men were hung for making the style of Bacanora you now may purchase and enjoy.
It was in the early 1900’s and rebel armies of Zapata and Pancho Villa used illegal Bacanora to trade for weapons in their fight for the oppressed of Mexico. Since those early days of the Mexican Revolution, the Mexican Government kept Bacanora banned.
The ban was finally lifted in 1992, and the hand crafted tradition of making Bacanora was all but forgotten except for a few Bacanora Vinateros (Masters).
